Abstract:
Several seismic profiles recorded by the OGS in the Ross Sea (Antarctica) have been processed . Attenuation of the strong multiple reflections, due to the frozen sea bottom, affecting the seismic records is the primary objective of this study. Various processing techniques were applied the improve the signal/noise ratio, such as weighted stack and iterated pre-stack f-k domain filtering, and result obtained are reported and discussed. Furthermore, a new technique is introduced: pre-stack f-x deconvolution.
