e regret to report that a recently published paper in BGTA had already been published in another journal by the same author with a very similar form. The two papers in discussion are:
- The comparison of global gravity models with terrestrial gravity data over western Anatolia by M. Yilmaz, published in issue 3 of volume 60 of BGTA
- The evaluation of gravity anomalies based on global models by land gravity data by M. Yilmaz, I. Yilmaz, and M. Uysal, published in the World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology International Journal of Geological and Environmental Engineering, Vol. 12, No. 11.
The paper has immediately been removed from the BGTA website owing to evident and clear plagiarism. BGTA apologises to its readers for this situation, difficult to handle because of the almost simultaneous appearance of the two papers, and underlines its distrust of scientists acting with any similar deceitful behaviour which goes against proper scientific policy.
