Abstract:
A study of the Magnaghi seamount from its magnetic and free-air gravity anomalies is presented. The first part of the study deals with the possibility of determining the density and magnetic contrast from their ratio, using Poisson's theorem. The second part concerns 3D inversion of the anomalies by constraining the inverted depths with the bathymetric limits of the volcano. The results indicate a fairly uniform distribution of density and a considerable complexity in the distribution of the magnetization.
