Abstract:
Gravity reference stations have been established in the harbours of Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, Punta Arenas, Wellington, Singapore, Hobart, Dunedin and Christchurch to give the gravity reference values and to compute the calibration factor and the drift rate of the marine (surface) gravity meter employed during the first four polar expeditions by OGS, Trieste, in the period 1987-91 for the Italian Antarctic Project run by ENEA.
